The Lumia 1520 was announced in late 2014 but it remains one of, if not the best flagship Windows Phone available. And since Microsoft reportedly isn’t planning on releasing any new flagship device anytime soon, it may not be a bad idea to get one now, and you can, for free*!
Of course there’s an asterisk. That’s because the purchase requires you to sign a new two-year agreement with AT&T. Just as a reminder, the Lumia 1520 offered here comes with a 6” 1080p display, a Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, a 20MP PureView camera, 16GB of storage that’s expandable via MicroSD, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, and a 3400mAh battery. Since this is the AT&T version, built-in Qi wireless charging has been removed and replaced with PMA's standard, which now requires a case to work.
Other than that, the phone remains relatively future proof as the Denim firmware update brings in support for 4K video recording and more, check out our hands-on here. The device will also get an upgrade to Windows 10 too so you don’t have to worry about missing out on future updates.
