Transparent Live tiles will soon make their way to Windows 10 for phones technical preview

The technical preview for Windows 10 for phones is here, and we've played along with it for a little while -- you can check out our hand-on video to get a glimpse of what the new operating system will offer. I'm not sure if you've noticed it or not, the Live tiles on the Start screen on Windows 10 for phones appears slightly different than Windows 8.1 -- they are not transparent. 

If you're running the Windows 10 for phones, and don't like the translucent Live tiles, Microsoft's Joe Belfiore confirmed on Twitter that Microsoft is "planning to include both the "full background" and "in the tiles" options." 

The question is: when? We're not sure about the exact availability date, but it shouldn't be too far off -- the good news is that it's coming.
